A good 99% of local business owners have or currently are making one vital mistake. Most people don’t even notice that this is a mistake, and they keep throwing money away because of it. Once you notice it, you’ll never look at your business the same way again.

In school, we are taught that there’s only one way to answer a question or problem. And sometimes this is true when you have a very simple problem. But let's be honest, getting new leads and turning them into clients is no simple task. So unlike school, there’s multiple ways to answer this problem.

Maybe it’s with Facebook ads, maybe using Instagram reels, maybe having a flashy website, who knows! You can’t rely on one answer to the problem, because maybe that method will shut down. Then what?

This also applies to staff as well. Having one staff member that's significantly better can be a huge problem in your company! What if they get sick? Or what if they go on vacation to Jamaica? Losing your most valuable employee for even just a few days will massively affect the growth of your business.

Don’t poorly make your business and wait for the earthquakes to come. The best solution to these problems is to always have a backup. A backup 5-star employee, a backup lead generation method, always building more pillars for your business so it doesn’t crumble when earthquakes come.

Let’s not make this simple mistake. At the end of your working hours, it’s always a good idea to think, “What are some leaks in my business that need to be filled?” and “Am I relying on one thing right now?” And when you find a leak in your business, make a backup of it! Make a backup plan so when one pillar falls, you have 2 other pillars available, or 10, or 47!

It’s surely gonna take some time to set up but it’s going to be worth it. Who knows, it might make or break your business one day.
